The Last Dance

„Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s okay. You’re here to live your life, not to make everyone understand.” (Banksy) — Jede Bewegung hinterlässt eine Spur. Doch die Spuren, die wir hinterlassen, sind nicht einfach Fußabdrücke im Sand, sondern eine unvermeidliche Gestaltung der Welt und der Menschen darin. Sie sind Geschichten ohne Worte, die unsere Freuden, Nöte und Entscheidungen widerspiegeln, Fragmente und Geister, die zurückbleiben und weiter existieren. In „The Last Dance“ begeben sich Samir Akika und Unusual Symptoms in eine Landschaft aus schwarzem Sand. Darin arbeiten acht Tänzer:innen gegen Widerstände und Widrigkeiten, auf der Suche nach den Spuren, die ein Leben hinterlässt und den Tanz-Geschichten, die sich mit ihnen erzählen lassen.

But the traces we leave behind are not simply footprints in the sand, but an inevitable imprint on the world and the people in it. They are stories without words that reflect our joys, hardships, and decisions, fragments and spirits that remain and continue to exist. In "The Last Dance", Samir Akika and Unusual Symptoms venture into a landscape of black sand. There, eight dancers work against resistance and adversity, searching for the traces that a life leaves behind and the dance stories that can be told with them.

- Während der Vorstellung kommt es zu einer moderaten Staubentwicklung. Das im Stück verwendete Quarzgranulat enthält keine gesundheitsgefährdenden Stoffe nach EU-Richtlinie 67/548/EWG und 1999/45EG.
